Congratulations to Thomas Deakins

Good friend Thomas Deakins prevailed in a tough race for the 6th District School Board race. I hope everyone in Farragut will help Thomas in the cause to fully fund the Hardin Valley High School.

From the Farragut Press:

“The first thing I want to do is to help [Knox County] commissioners work together to make sure the Hardin Valley School is fully funded,” Deakins said. “When this school was put on the books, it was originally planned for two-thousand kids. The idea of going to a school for thirteen hundred is not a good thing because what that is going to do to impact Farragut High School is that it will not alleviate overcrowding. That’s what it boils down to.”

Super Ingles arriving soon

The Farragut Regal Cinema and the Farragut Towne Square shopping center have been purchased by Ingles Markets, Inc. The theater will be torn down and a new Super Ingles will be built at that location.

West Farragut has a bright future.
